Tycho『Awake』の日本盤ボーナス・トラックである、タイトル・トラック「Awake」のAmetsubリミックスが公開！

3/18にリリースしました、Tychoの最新作のボーナス・トラックとして収録されました、東京を拠点に活動する音楽家Ametsubによるタイトル・トラック「Awake」のリミックスが遂に公開です。（期間限定公開予定）

TychoはMerckの頃から知っていたアーティストの一人なので、
自分なんかがリミックスできるのは凄く嬉しいです。

東京を拠点に活動。
昨年はTim Hecker, Yagya, bvduvbといった世界的なアーティストのJapan Tourのサポートを務め、夏にはFLUSSI（イタリア）、STROM（デンマーク）、MIND CAMP（オランダ）といった大型フェスへ招聘され、国境を超えたな活動を展開中。
秋には山口の野田神社にて坂本龍一と即興セッション、TAICOCLUBの渋谷路上イベントにてパフォーマンス。
アルバム「The Nothings of The North」が世界中の幅広いリスナーから大きな評価を獲得し、坂本龍一「2009年のベストディスク」にも選出されるなど、現在のシーンに揺るぎない独特の地位を決定付けた。
数々の大型フェスティヴァルにも出演を果たし、夏にはアイスランドでYagyaやRuxpinと共にライブを敢行。
スペインのLEV Festivalに出演し、Apparat/Johann Johannson/SBTRKT/Jon Hopkinsらと共演。
待望の最新作「All is Silence」は、新宿タワーレコードでマイブラやSigur Rosなどと並び、洋楽チャート５位に入り込むなど、未だに驚異的なセールスを記録中。
FujiRock Festival’12への出演も果たし、ウクライナやベトナム、バルセロナのMiRA Festivalなどに出演。
突き抜けた個性を持ちとても稀有な場所にいながら、大自然を描くような強烈なサウンドスケープは世界中にファンを広げている。

かつてはコム・トゥルーズ、現在はティコのドラマーとしてサウンドの根幹を支える、ワシントンDC在住のローリー・オコナーによるソロ・プロジェクト。そのメカニカルな適格性とヒューマニックなダイナミズムを兼ね備えた圧巻のドラミングに大きな注目が集まっているが、バンド活動の傍ら、4 tracksとアナログ・シンセを用い、10年以上前から創作に励んできた。2012年にファースト・アルバム『Longlines』を発表し、続いて2013年にはセカンド・アルバム『Themes』をリリース（2014年にPLANCHAからCD化）。そして2016年末に3作目となる新作『Don’t Ask!』をリリースしたばかり。持ち前のタフ且つリズミカルなドラミングに、レトロ／ヴィンテージ・テイストのカラフルなシンセやエレクトロニクスが、絶妙の低音やリヴァーブに彩られながら浮遊し描き出されるメロディックでグルーヴィな世界観は極めて独創的だ。これまでナイトムーヴスとして2015年に、ティコのドラマーとして2013年、2016年のTAICOCLUB、2015年のジャパン・ツアーで来日を果たしている。

Nitemoves is the electronic guise/internet handle of musician/producer Rory O’Connor. Starting over a decade ago with a four track and an Arp Odyssey, O’Connor has been writing intricate and melodic arrangements under various monickers; always striving to incorporate his rhythmic sensibilities as a life-long drummer.

In the time since he began augmenting Ghostly International veterans Com Truise and Tycho on stages across the world, Nitemoves has released one full length and a handful of singles on ambient wizard Jakub Alexander’s Moodgadget label. His sophomore effort, Themes, will be available in the summer of 2013.

2011年にスウェーデンのダウンテンポ~エレクトロニカ系レーベル、Mareldから『Musk – EP』でデビュー。そして2012年にGhostly International所属のJakub AlexanderとAdam E. Huntが2004年に設立した、エレクトロニック・ミュージックをポジティヴに拡大解釈したデジタル・レーベル、Moodgadget（SHIGETOなども輩出した）からEP『PATIENCE』、『BLACKSTONE』のリリースを経て、ShlomoなどもリリースしているLAのビート・ミュージックの名門レーベル、Friends of Friendsからファースト・フル・アルバム『The Water’s Way』をリリース。先鋭的なビート・ミュージックとオルタナティヴR&Bが融合したエレクトロニック・ミュージックはポストJames Blake的なサウンドとして注目を集める。その後アンビエント的ノンビート作『A Book Of Flying』をリリース。その後B3SCIへと移籍し、2018年にEP『Every High』を発表。2020年1月リリースとなるアルバム『Kyson』は4年ぶりのサード・アルバムとなる。

The most hypnotising songs are ones we can sink in to, forgetting about everything as their words and melodies wash over us. That’s the kind of musical alchemy Kyson creates. The moniker of producer, singer and songwriter Jian Liew, this Australia-born artist is making abstract electro-folk that’s designed to take you closer to his complex and nomadic soul.

The escape from his home country transformed his sound into something skin-prickling and strange; soul-bearing and melodious all at the same time. Jian’s latest work could be described as a cocktail of Ben Howard’s vulnerable vocals and Arthur Russell’s entrancing production, but Jian’s ear for a strong hook elevates it into something greater; a sound he can call his own. After all, it’s already lead to two well-received records released through LA cult label Friends of Friends in the past half-decade: 2013’s production-based The Water’s Way and its 2016 follow-up – on which Jian first decided to sing – A Book of Flying. A third chapter, forming with an air of mystique typical of Kyson’s creations, is on its way.
